why a 90s cut?
A lot of the shirts I own now are cropped and boxy, which I love. They feel easy, modern, and relaxed. But sometimes I want a different type of cool. Something a little older, a little more mature, and a little closer to the men I grew up watching on TV or the way my dad dressed when I was younger.
That is what pulled me toward a 90s cut shirt.
It has more length, more room, and more drape. You can wear it untucked with jeans and still look relaxed, or tuck it into trousers and suddenly it feels more polished without becoming stiff. It is not slim and restrictive, but it is also not just oversized for the sake of being oversized.
The point is balance. A shirt that feels relaxed, but still put together. Something you can move in, tuck in, dress up, or wear casually without it feeling one-dimensional.
That ease is what I think made 90s shirts so good.
